Matthew Marshall moved to the Johannesburg area from Jackson, Mississippi (USA) in September 2012. He was accompanied by his wife, Sara, and their three children, Chloe (6), Kate (3), and William (8 months). He received the degree of Master of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary (Jackson, Mississippi) in April 2012. The Marshall family is serving the Africa South Field as volunteers with Nazarene Mission Corps. Matthew will be assisting at Nazarene Theological College by lecturing in the area of biblical studies.
I am originally from Port Elizabeth in the Eastern Cape. I knew that I was called from the age of 14 and accepted the call to be trained as a minister in 2004 at NTC. Got married in 2008 as well as graduating three weeks later with a Diploma in Theology, and have been blessed with 2 children.
Moved back to Port Elizabeth and was an Associate pastor along with my husband at our local Church. Currently serving as Registrar of NTC and also busy with my B.Th. studies. I am also a Facilitator and teach World religions and Study and research classes along with others.
I am a holder of a Bachelors degree in Theology from Nazarene Theological College and completed with all the requirements for the completion of the Higher Diploma in Adult Basic Education at the University of South Africa. I have teaching skills developed through my work as an instructor, and librarian of the college. The interim Chaplain, does administration and networking I possess computer skills. And I am currently pasturing Orange Farm Church of the Nazarene, and facilitator. My goal is to contribute to the building of the Church of Jesus Christ and our nation at large in whatever way the Lord leads me. I also desire is to expand in a broader and effective challenging pastoral ministry that will add value and meaning to those I would minster to. I currently serve on different boards on the Gauteng District such as, Ministerial Board of Studies, Ministerial Board of Credentials, and Board of Appeals. My serving the church extends further to the District Women Ministry coordinator. God is good to me.
Denise Anderson has been serving as the BTh Coordinator since 2009. Denise has her PhD in Social Work and is finishing her MA in Pastoral Ministry. She and her family live in Johannesburg. Her husband Phillip is the Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene in Johannesburg area. Denise has two teenage daughters, Makenzie and Morgyn.
The BTh programme is an online accredited programme by SAQA and the Church of the Nazarene. There are thirty courses that prepare students for ordination and pastoral leadership in the Church of the Nazarene. For more information about the programme.

Cheri Kommel is a global missionary with the Church of the Nazarene in Botswana.
Before her missionary service began, Cheri taught special education and English at the junior and senior high school levels, and was active in her local church as an adult Sunday School teacher, Director of the Board of Christian Life, and was involved in youth and children’s ministries.
Cheri came to Swaziland in 1986 where she taught at Endzingeni Nazarene High School, Nazarene Teacher Training College, and Swaziland Nazarene Bible College. In 2002 Cheri was reassigned to Cape Town, South Africa, where she worked with extension education. In 2004 she moved to Botswana where she continues to be involved in extension education. In 2010 Cheri moved to Johannesburg, South Africa where she continues to work as the NTC Learning and Satellite Centre Coordinator.
Cheri was born in Kansas City, Missouri, and received the B.S. degree from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri. Her MAs were received from Cap Theological Seminary in Cape Town, South Africa and from Trinity Seminary in the USA. Cheri was ordained by the Church of the Nazarene in 2001.
